Nursery Manager and Early Years Lead

I am an Early Years Teacher with 10 years experience working with children...

I am an Early Years Teacher with 10 years experience working with children ranging from  2.5-5 years old. I have always been passionate about working within the Early Years and believe children’s curiosities should be encouraged and that learning through playful experiences is extremely important to give them the best start within education. I also supported leading the Creative Collaborative Project which was a trust wide research project looking closely at encouraging and supporting children to follow their curiosities through play. I feel that having the Nursery within the school provides great advantages for a child, as it allows them to socialise with older children and makes the transition between the Nursery setting and Reception a smooth and exciting journey. I have completed an NPQ in Early Years Leadership, supporting my role as Early Years Leader within the Stapleford Community Primary School.

I am a qualified early years...
I am a qualified early years teacher with eight years experience of working in childcare and education. In 2021 I qualified as a Level 3 Forest School Leader and I love the freedom and playfulness of outdoor learning.
I previously worked in the Charity sector for over 10 years, focusing mainly on community fundraising with children and families. I enjoy supporting young children as they grow and learn about life around them; who they are within their communities and their place in the wider world.

With a lifelong passion for caring for others, my journey began in Germany...

With a lifelong passion for caring for others, my journey began in Germany where I worked on a maternity ward and completed training as a professional childminder before moving to the UK in 2000.

Becoming a parent to my son in 2003, followed by my daughters in 2011 and 2013, strengthened my passion for supporting young children as they grow and learn.

Before joining Stapleford Community Primary School in 2017, I spent 15 years supporting elderly patients, including those living with dementia and Parkinson’s. During this time, I completed NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care and Clinical Care, building a strong foundation in compassion‑led support.

My path into early years education grew naturally from my experience of being a mum. Since joining the school, I’ve completed CACHE Level 2 & 3 in Early Years, along with an Early Years Educator apprenticeship, which I passed with distinction.

Today, I’m proud to be part of the Nursery team, helping our youngest learners grow, explore, and feel safe as they take their first steps into school life.
