School Council

Our School Council plays a special role in making sure every child’s voice is heard and valued. Each class from Year 1 to Year 6 elects two School Councillors through a democratic vote held in the autumn term. These pupils proudly serve for the whole school year, representing their classmates and helping to shape our school community. The School Council meets regularly to share ideas, discuss important issues and plan projects that make a real difference.

As well as listening to pupil voice and bringing forward suggestions for improvement, our councillors lead on fundraising to support important causes. This year, we are excited to be planning our festive Rudolph Run event for Arthur Rank Hospice, in December, as well as Red Nose Day in March.

Year 6 Ambassadors and House Captains

Each September, the school elects its new House Captains and Vice Captains. These pupils help to lead assemblies and organise events for their houses. All year 6 pupils also take on ambassador roles so they can develop their leadership skills in different areas and for different initiatives. For example, PE ambassadors help hand out PE certificates, organise and support with events, and present in assemblies.
