Science at Stapleford Community Primary School aims to develop children’s understanding of the nature, processes and methods of science to enable and equip children to ask and answer questions about the world around them. We are committed to delivering a rich and investigative science curriculum which not only covers curriculum objectives, but also puts wider global ideas into context, for example; climate change and significant scientific developments and discoveries.

Our aim is to provide a curriculum that encourages all children to think scientifically and develop a desire to understand the world around them. We encourage children to understand that anyone can be a scientist or involved in the STEM subjects, which is why we enrich our curriculum input from the wider scientific community around Stapleford. We are very privileged to be in an incredibly rich area for scientific research, and even more privileged that local STEM professionals regularly give up their time to be part of our Science Day or offer other outreach opportunities to enrich our curriculum.
