Year 5 Residential Visit to Burwell House

Our Year 5 children have had a fantastic time on their residential visit to Burwell House! Over two action-packed days, they’ve thrown themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm, teamwork and plenty of smiles.

On the first day, the children explored the site through the lively “snail game”, before becoming budding journalists as they planned, filmed and presented their own news reports. They also created their own enamel keyrings – a lovely keepsake to remind them of their trip – and took on the famous Burwell Challenge, a blindfolded obstacle course that tested trust and communication skills.

After a good night’s sleep (for most!), Day 2 brought more fun and adventure. The children tackled the low ropes course with great determination and teamwork before taking part in the “Burwell Fox” game, where they had to navigate the grounds using a map and find hidden “food” clues while avoiding the hunters (their teachers!).

It has been a wonderful visit filled with laughter, new experiences and special memories – well done, Year 5!
